Play your own audio files in Spotify

Spotify's desktop app can play music stored on your computer. Click your profile picture, open Settings, scroll to Library and switch on Show Local Files, then enable folders under Show songs from or click Add a source to point it somewhere else. One quirk worth knowing: with crossfade enabled, Spotify only crossfades between local files that share the same sample rate and channel count.
